Our good friends, Dan and Stacey, moved to Texas almost four years ago (can you believe it has been that long, Stace?!). And one year ago, they added a
beautiful baby girl to their family. Her name is Evelyn, and she is betrothed to my little Hank. :-) As Evelyn's first birthday approached I was pretty bummed that we weren't going to be able to celebrate that milestone with them. It's as much a celebration of a baby's first birthday as it is of her parents surviving the first year! Shortly before E's big day, God decided to call Dan's grandmother home. We were so sorry for his family's loss, but it meant that they would be in town on Evelyn's birthday. We were very blessed to be able to spend this special day with her (it also happens that she shares her birthday with Jay). Here are some photos from Evelyn's party:
The birthday girl making a few calls...
Isn't she a doll?
And here's "little" Rigley chewing on some bubbles.
Notice that poor Paislee was wearing more bubbles than she was blowing. :-)
Katie, Stacey, me
Evelyn trying out cake for the first time...
She quite liked it!
Super cutie!
And this is just a funny series of pictures of Henry and Rigley. Hank is ALWAYS stealing his friends' pacifiers... even if he has his own in his mouth!
Poor Rigley!
Big Rig (asleep by this point), Evelyn, and Hank
Paislee may have been eating birthday cake before this picture.
Stacey, Katie and I got roped into the kid picture because we look so youthful... or because we were holding the babies... whatever.
