Session Five: The Handwriting on the Wall

• "I am utterly convinced that when all is said and done, the secular recordings of history will have to bow down to the preeminence of God's Word."
• "The Old Testament is incomplete without the New. The New Testament cannot be understood without the Old." This is why it is so important to read and study the entire Bible!
• "If you have received Christ Jesus as your Savior, you are a holy vessel." The Bible tells us in Daniel 5 that King Belshazzar gave a banquet and ordered that the goblets taken from the temple in Jerusalem be brought in. He and his guests used the holy goblets (vessels) to toast false gods. King Belshazzar lost both his kingdom and his life later that night. Many Christians, who are themselves holy vessels, have allowed themselves to be used for purposes other than what God intended for us. They have allowed the holy to be used for unholy purposes.
  
• "Satan has no greater agenda than attempting to desecrate what God consecrates."
• "Repentance of sin is one of the most wonderful privileges Christ has given us through his cross."
• "Unrecognized or cherished sin may still be a hindrance in your walk with God and your progress toward great fruitfulness."

• "God isn't looking for perfection. He's looking for purity of heart: our authentic desire to do His will and give Him glory."
• "Can you think of any easier route to victory than learning from the mistakes of others?"
• "Beloved, God can still love us and oppose us. He will not let us prosper indefinitely in our pride. He can't. He is God, the Lord of Heaven. He will defend His great Name and spotless reputation."
