This morning we woke up, ate breakfast at our hotel, then packed up to head for Florida. The drive was much shorter today, only 4.5 hours. Once we arrived at our condo, we unloaded the car and let the kids loose on the beach immediately. It was Henry's first time seeing the ocean and playing in the sand. He seemed to love it! Once the sun started to set and our tummy's were rumbling, we came in to clean up so we could go get dinner and groceries.

First Day of Vacation!
Yesterday we began our drive down to Panama City Beach. We like to break the trip up because it makes the drive easier on the kids (and therefore us). We stopped in Nashville, TN and spent the afternoon enjoying the zoo there (The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere). It isn't large, but it is beautiful! From Nashville we headed to Pelham, AL where we spent the night. The pool at the hotel was so cold that the kids didn't swim long. We took them to the McDonald's playland to further wear them out. It was a wonderful first day of vacation!

Spring Snow
I know there are A LOT of people who are hating this snow storm, but I do not. God is Lord over the weather. It was beautiful at Christmas, and it's beautiful now. Spring will come. It always does. Rest in God's sovereignty.
"Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord : though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." (Isaiah 1:18 ESV)

Beauty
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV)

29... Again.
Today I celebrated my 29th birthday... again.
It was a wonderful birthday weekend! Yesterday, Jason made me breakfast in bed and took care of the kids all day. I spent some time at Starbucks sipping a white chocolate mocha and reading a magazine (it was the September 2012 issue of Good Housekeeping... I am a little behind). I also wandered around Target and then Kohl's for a while. After the kids were in bed, we got take out from O'Charley's and watched a movie.
Today, we had a family lunch at mom and dad's house after church. Mom made yummy spaghetti, garlic bread, chopped salad, and chocolate peanut butter ice cream cake. I was blessed with very thoughtful gifts from my family. One of which was this Forever 29 glass from my sister. Perfect!

EEG
This morning I took Chloe for what I hope is her last ever EEG. We were told when she was diagnosed with Benign Rolandic Epilepsy that children often grow out of it around puberty. So, at her last check up, her neurologist decided it was a good time to start weaning her off her meds. She took her final dose on Valentine's Day, and today she had an EEG to see if her brain is functioning normally. She has an appointment on Tuesday with Dr. Ridel. If he gives her the all clear, then we are finished with this! Prayers are appreciated.
