Cousins

Sophie has said that she and Audrey are "BFF cousins". I think that goes for Charlotte and Ruby too.

We had just finished watching Chloe's soccer game on Saturday... This kind of stuff just melts my heart!

Back to the Zoo

We were back at the zoo on Friday making the most of the great weather and our membership! This time we went with my friend, Amy, and her two little guys, Ryker and Camden, along with her cousin, Jalyn, and her children, Ashlyn and Carter. It was another gorgeous day to be outside visiting all the animals at the zoo and enjoying time with friends!

Charlotte and Henry at the start of the day

Ryker and Charlotte checking out the tiger

I think Amy wanted a sweet picture of them on top of the rock, but instead they were growling like the tiger they just saw. Look at the sunshine streaming through the trees though!

The bear was having a great time playing with his (or her?) toys in the water.

Just three little monkeys hanging around before the dolphin show.

I love the meerkats! (Side note: spell check wants to turn "meerkats" into "beermats" - ha!) Charlotte was petting them through the glass.

They had just as much fun playing in the leaves as they did watching the animals.

It won't be too long before these little guys are running around with the others.

"I swear... it was this big!"

The cheetah exhibit is so cool!

Carter, Charlotte, Ryker and Ashlyn were all looking at the little baby elephant. (They lined up in birth order: 2, 3, 3, and 4.)

Thanks for inviting us, Amy!

Friends

Here are some future pals...
(Raendra had Cameron in July, I had Henry in August, and Amy had Camden in September.)

This was how they looked lined up at the start of Bible study this morning.

Perfect Zoo Day

Charlotte, Henry and I went to the zoo on Tuesday. We met our friends Raendra, Clayton, Collin, Cameron and Raendra's mom, Donna. She was so sweet to come with us to help with all the little kiddos. It was a beautiful day... a perfect zoo day. I dressed Charlotte in her zebra outfit just for the occasion. The kids all seemed to have fun, and I had a great time hanging out with Raendra!

Clayton, Charlotte and Collin

Seal or sea lion... I can't tell!

They were looking for the tiger.

There it is!

Henry Jay

The bear kept pacing in and out of his cave.

Cute baby giraffe!

Cameron - so sweet!

The baby elephant was adorable!

We let the kids enjoy the playground for a while.

Tuesdays of Praise

Today (after a day at the zoo) I am praising God for being the creator of all things!

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)... And God said, "Let there be light (vs. 3)... let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water (vs. 6)... let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear (vs. 9)... let the land produce vegetation (vs. 11)... let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night (vs. 14)... let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth (vs. 20)... let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds (vs. 24)... let us make mankind in our image (vs. 26)... God saw all that he had made, and it was very good (vs. 31).

What are you praising God for today?

Your Great Name

This is my current most favorite song ever (I wish you could hear Charlotte's sweet little voice singing along):

Daniel 7:13
"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Acts 3:15
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnessed of this.

Revelation 5:6
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders...

Revelation 19:16
On his robe and his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Revelation 22:16
I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
